The Webmaster
As the webmaster of this site, I have been challenged. My web development skills were renewed and have even increased as I
tied to design features that I hadn't previously done. Keeping the content up to date has been an obvious challenge. We
four all live very busy lives and we are constantly fighting the tares of this world that try to strangle us.
Regarding the multiple language translations that appear on the portal page, I was certainly challenged by God when I
undertook this design feature. The coding was easy. Finding all the people to translate it properly was the real
challenge. I lost count of how many people I asked to translate what became known as "The Paragraph". I received every
answer imaginable. Some thought it was too strong as the final sentence talks about being saved from eternal damnation
in Hell. They agreed with it, but thought it should be softer and tell of God's love. I never argued that our Lord
Jesus talked more about Hell than He did Heaven. Knowing that the LDS had missionaries all over the word, I asked an
acquaintance if she knew of anyone. She refused as she did not believe that the Bible and only the Bible is the Holy
Scriptures. I even asked a person who was from Iran and was Islamic if she would translate "The Paragraph" into
Farsi. She turned me down on the grounds that it is only with a relationship with God through Jesus Christ that we have
been saved. Never once did I get offended. I saw the task of getting "The Paragraph" as a a means to evangelize to
them. It invariably brought to them a challenge to refute my beliefs and justify their's. Again, I never argued with them.
I was very sympathetic to their dilemma of refusing me. If an Moslem came to me asking me to review their English that
refuted the Gospel of Jesus, I too, would tell them no. Finally, I have tried to be open to God about this and give people
the benefit of the doubt. "The Paragraph" is a very detailed paragraph. Our newspapers are written at eight grade level
reading. This goes way beyond that so I understand people’s hesitancy to agree to translate it. Some people agree to do
anything, but fall short. Others refuse to do it as it will stretch them and they don’t want to be stretched. It will take
some time to translate it, but I know God will surely bless them for every minute they spend in the translation. It will
challenge them in their faith as well as the knowledge of the language they are translating it into.
Furthermore, I truly believe people after reading this web site will be challenged. Some will be challenged in their faith
like those who did the translation or turned me down. Other’s will get angry as it is worded strong and does not just
preach of God’s love to the world that he sent Jesus. This site will be used to condemn those who refuse to yield to the
prompting of the Holy Spirit and edify those whom it talks about. Finally, it will exhort those who read and say, I can
do that.
To God be given all the glory. Great things He has done. Amen.
Go and preach the
gospel of Jesus Christ
to all nations
of the world...
