Who Are We ?

The four of us are known as the Quatro Amigos, the Four Friends. Kevin, Mike, and Tim of the Quatro Amigos live in the Sacramento area, while Dan lives in the San Luis Obispo area.

Not all of us are called to be Evangelists like Mike. However, we’re all called to evangelize, to tell others about Jesus. Another one of us is Dan. He has been called to be a Teacher. His specialty is apologetics. He along with his wife are currently leading the 5th and 6th graders at their church. He feels his calling is to equip people in rightly dividing the word and to be able to give an answer of the hope they lies within us. Next is Kevin. Kevin is called to show compassion and to build up hope. We find it amazing that he can say things that are so eloquent…it just makes sense the way he tells it. He encourages, but does so in a manner as a pastor. Now, Mike can stand before the crowds, but not the rest of us. Dan can argue with scientific facts and refute heretical beliefs like few can, and Kevin can feel as you feel and after talking to him, you have hope. And then there is Tim, the fourth friend. Tim’s an encourager, but quite different than Kevin. Kevin comes to you as a pastor while Tim comes to you as a coach. Tim seeks out strangers to tell them of Jesus, but in a one on one setting, not in front of crowds like Mike.

And the children of Issachar, who were men who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do… (1 Chronicles 12:32) The word understanding is the Hebrew word binah, which means “to have insight or to act with prudence.” According to Strong’s Concordance, it comes from a root verb that means to separate something mentally, and distinguish its parts. The word reflects the presence of intelligence and wisdom, even cunning and skill, in the process. In other words, this is not just an understanding of the facts, but a skillful analysis of what something truly means. The sons of Issachar had analyzed their times and had perceived correctly what those times were all about. They knew what to do because they understood what was happening during those turbulent times for Israel.

Likewise, during these turbulent times, the Four Friends use their spiritual gifts to give wisdom and to give an understanding of the facts of the world's geo-political climate as it relates to Bibical truth. And to any and all who will listen, they are a Lighthouse with a Beacon to show the way to true spiritual happiness, and a Watchman on the Wall to blow the trumpet that the enemy is approaching.
