Dan's Testimony - Page 2
About this time, my brother Frank became a Christian while visiting the states since he was serving in the military and was stationed in England. So he tried to witness to me, but totally failed and soon left to go back to England.

Next year, Frank came back to visit the family. Now inside, I didn’t want to see my Jesus Freak brother, but as it would happen, my work schedule was the only one who could pick him up from the airport. So low and behold it was me that picked him up that afternoon. Later, we stopped by my sister’s house for dinner where he then started to talk to me again about Jesus. I threw out all my usual defenses (e.g. the bible is full of errors, it is a myth, science shows man evolved, etc.). However this time, he had an answer for all my defenses. I was feeling the pressure now; I was having to truly think about myself and to articulate my beliefs.

It was getting late as it was now one o’clock in the morning, but for me it was no problem since I was working the night shift. However, for my brother Frank, who had flown through many time zones, he was exhausted. I offered to continue the conversation tomorrow so I can at least get out of it, but he would have nothing to do with it. He told me that he loved me too much to stop so we kept on going. Finally it came down to my last argument. I said, “I will not pray to Jesus since the Bible says there is only one God. I will pray to God, but not Jesus.” My brother’s reply was, “Dan, Jesus IS God” and he showed me where in the Bible it said this. At that point, it all clicked and I accepted Jesus. (side note: During the time Frank was absent from us, my brother was preparing for our next talk plus he had a group of people praying specifically for this.
